Get the NRM Discussion Paper click here !

The South East Queensland NRM & E Working Group invites you to a series of public meetings in the sub-regions of South East Queensland. The meetings are to ask for your ideas and feedback on how we can best collaborate together to develop better regional arrangements for NHT2 and Natural Resource Management & Environment (NRM & E) for South East Queensland.

The meetings are being held in response to changed Federal and State agreements on NRM&E arrangements for NHT2 & NAP.

The meetings will workshop the discussion paper (attached) to assist the participants of the meetings . The discussion paper aims to provide a background of NRM & E in general, NRM & E activities to date in SEQ and future options for the formation of regional arrangements.

The discussion paper acts as a guide for the benefits of and options for a regional body to recieve funds for Natural Resource Management & Environment in SEQ.

The meetings will be informal with a brief presentation and then workshopping the various components of developing the SEQ NRM & E arrangements.

Comments on the discussion paper close on Monday 24th June 2002.
